FAST FACTS ABOUT WAYNESBURG UNIVERSITY Motto -- Fiat Lux, "Let There Be Light" Main Campus -- Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, one hour south of Pittsburgh. Adult Centers -- Three off-campus adult centers in the suburbs of Pittsburgh. Faculty -- 128 with a student/faculty ratio of 13:1 Average Class Size -- 25 Ratio of Men to Women -- 49% : 51% Enrollment -- 1,500 Undergraduate, 1,000 Graduate and Professional Adults Academics -- More than 70 degree options. Top five areas are Business, Communication, Education, Sciences (as in Nursing), and Law. Graduate and Doctorate programs also offered. Service Learning -- Waynesburg University, one of two institutions in Pennsylvania to offer the Bonner Scholar Program, which provides scholarships for community service. All students complete required community service hours. Study Abroad -- International study and service learning trips to a wide variety of places in the world. Athletics -- 18 men's and women's, NCAA Division III, President's Athletic Conference Facilities -- Major improvements to the main campus in recent years include a new student center, new performing arts center, new residence halls, The Center for Research and Economic Development, two new additions to the Eberly Library, expansion of the dining hall, and new wellness center completed in 2009!
