University named College of Distinction for fourth consecutive year

WU also a Pennsylvania College of Distinction and Christian College of Distinction

Waynesburg University was named a 2019-2020 College of Distinction July 1 for the fourth consecutive year. The award recognizes American higher education institutions for their commitment to the implementation of High-Impact Educational Practices.

The University was also named a Pennsylvania College of Distinction and Christian College of Distinction. Waynesburg academic programs recognized for College of Distinction status included Business, Education and Nursing.

According to Colleges of Distinction, the selection process consists of detailed interviews and research for each institution’s freshman experience and retention efforts alongside its general education programs, career development, strategic plan, student satisfaction, and more.

Schools are evaluated on how well they adhere to the Four Distinctions: Engaged Students, Great Teaching, Vibrant Community, and Successful Outcomes.
