Waynesburg University has received a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) to support the preservation of archival materials pertaining to the history of the University in the University’s Paul R. Stewart Museum.
“By continuing to preserve this archival collection, we preserve the story, heritage and legacy of Waynesburg University,” said Courtney Dennis, associate director of the Paul R. Stewart Museum. “I am beyond grateful to the NEH for seeing the value in this project and for providing us with the opportunity to carry it out. I can’t wait to get started!”
The Paul R. Stewart Museum has a diverse collection that represents the humanities, arts, and sciences. The grant funds will support the replacement of archival-grade containers to better preserve the materials in this collection, which will enable the University to share the collection with the public and campus community for many years to come.
